How to Apply

The Sustainability Science and Practice program will hold one application round in the 2025-2026 academic year. Prospective students should refer to the Stanford Bulletin for detailed information about the program’s application process. Information Sessions will be hosted by the program in the Autumn quarter. Students who wish to apply must attend one of these sessions. Please visit our Info Session page for details and to RSVP.

The Application Portal will open on Monday, October 13, 2025. A pre-application interview is required in Autumn quarter for all candidates. Pre-application interviews will be held between mid-October and December 19, 2025 and will be available to students who have attended an Information Session. Applications are due by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Students who are admitted will matriculate into the program in Spring Quarter 2026.
